Digital Decibel Meter

A decibel meter is a measuring instrument used to assess noise or sound levels by measuring sound pressure. Often referred to as a sound pressure level (SPL) meter, decibel (dB) meter, noise meter or noise dosimeter, a sound level meter uses a microphone to capture sound. The sound is then evaluated within the device and acoustic measurement values are displayed.

Features & Benefits :
  • Accurate Measurement - The decibel meter provides accurate and reliable measurements of sound levels, range 30-130dB, accuracy +-1.5dB, it helping you to maintain a safe and healthy environment by ensuring noise levels are within acceptable limits.
  • A-Weighted - The db meter uses A-weighting, which is the most common weighting scale used in measuring sound levels. This ensures that the readings are adjusted to mimic the human ear's response to different frequencies, providing more accurate results.
  • Capacitive Microphone Sensor - Our dB noise meter is equipped with a high-quality capacitive microphone sensor that captures sound waves and converts them into electrical signals, ensuring precise and reliable measurements.

Frequently Asked Questions

A Digital Decibel Meter is an electronic instrument used to measure sound pressure levels (SPL) and noise intensity in decibels (dB). It helps monitor and assess noise levels in various environments.

Most Digital Decibel Meters measure sound levels from approximately 30 dB to 130 dB, depending on the model.

Yes. Digital Decibel Meters are frequently used to monitor noise generated by motors, generators, compressors, pumps, and industrial machinery.

The Data Hold feature freezes the current measurement on the display, making it easier to record readings.

This function records the highest and lowest sound levels measured during a monitoring session.

Many advanced models include data logging, memory storage, USB connectivity, or software integration for data analysis and reporting.

A sound calibrator is a reference device used to verify and adjust the accuracy of a Decibel Meter before measurements are taken.

Yes. Many models are suitable for outdoor use. A windscreen is often recommended to reduce wind-induced measurement errors.
